NEW NADER NEWS
Oct 22 - 11 days to Nov 2 - election day
______________________________________
First, Bush News:
I've put a couple of important articles on the web so that they will be easy to find, print and pass along:
Ron Suskind's chilling article about Bush's pipeline to God -- from Sunday's NY Times magazine section: "Without a Doubt" is at: http://www.hereinstead.com/Suskind-WithoutaDoubt.htm
I've also posted ALL of the terrific commentary on Bush from Gary Wills, Russell Baker, Norman Mailer, and loads of others -- from the Nov 4, 2004 issue of the NY Review of Books: "The Election and America's Future" at: http://www.hereinstead.com/NYReviewOfBooks-ELECTION-2004.htm
Together these constitute a nearly perfect pre-election statement of the Bush presidency problem. Plus maybe a bit more about the fact that Cheney is in control of so much.
Also, recent US campaign news from outside the US.....
Oct 22: The BBC SAYS "The presidential election in the US is on a knife edge."
"The difference between victory for John Kerry or George Bush will be decided by possibly as little as a few hundred votes in a handful of states. Nader has been the subject of intense interest to both sides.... A recent Reuters-Zogby national tracking poll shows John Kerry and George Bush polling at 46% each with Ralph Nader at 1.2%. He is a factor in the key battleground states of New Mexico, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Florida, polling from one to two percent in each."

Oct 22: The Guardian profiles Nader, recognizes that he's a threat, and concludes that he's gone .... mad.
"In swing states where Mr Nader has slightly more backing, Iowa, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, New Mexico and Florida, most pollsters believe he still poses a greater threat to the Democrat. The Democrats certainly think so." More than 75 former Nader's Raiders published an open letter: 'As the recipient of financial and political support from rightwing campaign donors, Ralph is party to a disingenuous effort to split the progressive vote in key states. With the major party candidates in a dead heat, Nader is poised to tip the election to Bush - again'."

Oct 21: A Spanish news service reports that, like Republicans, Ralph Nader has contributed to .... Ralph Nader.

Oct 22: The Socialist Worker Party likes Nader and blasts lefties who don't.
(They are part of the Trotskyite contingent that loves Nader's mad "smash the 2 party system" fantasy.)

Finally, a humor site reported that Nader was "considering dropping out of the presidential race to focus on wrecking Christmas." (ta-boom)
