tom tomorrow: Tom Tomorrow (a.k.a Dan Perkins) is a brilliant political cartoonist. He is for social justice and civil liberties, he studies conservative arguments, he gets them right -- and then he mocks them mercilessly. He uses a lot of 1950s style cheap advertising graphics to create characters who reassure themselves with idiodic conservative platitudes. He's deadly going after official-sounding political blather.

And that's just the beginning. He has a smart-ass penquin with spacey glasses who wise cracks the radical truths of the author. He plays with time and space travel, and like Garry Trudeau he is willing to wander inside the mind of people like George Bush. He's got an amazing imagination, he's a terrific writer, and he is very, very funny.
