  hereinstead.com: memorablia still available

hot memorabilia tips and opportuntities

November 17, 2000

Friends:

It's not too early to begin stocking up on your Election 2000 memorabilia. Yes, much of the bric-a-brac is still available at year 2000 prices. As the boring presidential elections of the future pile up, Americans will look back fondly at the glorious, exciting, heart-pounding Election 2000. They'll want the memorabilia to display in their homes so they can say: "I was there, back in 2000, when we still used ballots that could be counted by hand."

The truly entrepreneurial among you should contemplate the hundreds of thousands of famous, valuable "Butterfly Ballots" still in a lock-box someplace. I see one of you shrewd operators cutting a deal with Palm Beach County to market those ballots -- with and without handsome museum-quality framing. The Smithsonian Museum will no doubt have one on display, so you can say that the 227,563 other ballots are "Just like the one in the Smithsonian."

Remember these are one-of-a-kind items, never before available, and never to be produced again. The famous 20,000 ballots punched for Gore AND Buchanan will be very valuable, and the extremely rare Buchanan-only ballots someday will be worth a fortune. Who among you will seize this opportunity that Palm Beach County and Election 2000 has created?

Also, right now you can still pick up some nifty W. items at:
http://www.georgewbushstore.com/.

Still on sale is my personal favorite: a set of four of the handsome "W 2000" glasses, marked down from $19.95 to only $10.75. Credit cards accepted of course. Just click on W.'s head to enter the store. (I am not making this up).

The Gore-Lieberman campaign has a somewhat chintzier line of items at:
http://www.gore-lieberman-2000.com/
Some of you may want to grab the "kiss" pin -- a true connoisseurs item.

And for your Jewish friends, you might want to pick up some of the Jewish specialty Jewish items at:
http://www.gore-lieberman-2000.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/scstore/Jewish_Friends.html?E+scstore My personal favorite here is the Gore logo T-shirt with a Jewish Star instead of the non-Jewish Star.

"The Kiss" pin
This is a picture, put on a pin by the Gore Campaign, of Al and Tipper's kiss just after he gave his speech at the Democratic Convention in Los Angeles.
