Videos Shmideos

The world's gone video crazy and so have we. Below are some of the best ways ever found to cheer up. And you don't have to go elsewhere because they are all ... hereinstead.

After you view one, just click back. Be sure not to miss the very first one.

The trailer for Duck Soup
This brilliant film was widely unappreciated at the time of its release in 1933. One minute and 37 seconds of genius.

Marx Brother's mirror scene from Duck Soup
Harpo and Groucho, as Groucho, in one the finest scenes ever put on film. Somebody a youtube claims it was done in one take.

Groucho & Chico -- The Case of the Left Handed Painting
A classic impossible conversation.

Charlie Chaplin - cocaine scene
Most people who have ever seen this had no idea what Chaplin was doing (other than being hilarious). Under alcohol prohibition in the 1920s and early 1930s, entrepreneurs made other drugs available, including cocaine. Then as now, people in Hollywood were users and knew that cocaine's effects are similar to a strong dose of caffeine. Chaplin exaggerated a bit and made his hapless and generally law-abiding tramp, pepped up on cocaine, into a hero. This scene is an under-appreciated gift of Chaplin's genius.

Chaplin's "Globe Scene" from The Great Dictator
Dance, ultimate silliness, and satire. Oh, were he alive to do Bush.

Charlie Chaplin Singing Waiter
Made in 1936, over 70 years ago, and nobody has even come close to doing what he did.

Stick a Yellow Magnet on Your SUV
By an enormously talented musical group called The Asylum Street Spankers. Priceless.

Bush Verbal Blunders
Just to remember, for a moment, what the U.S. and the world has been through. Way beyond parody...

Guiliani in Drag
Rudolph Giuliani in drag flirting with Donald Trump. You can't make this stuff up.
